Gesso, Italian for plaster, is used predominantly as a primer layer on canvas paintings. Instead of hiding it behind the artwork, we’ve brought the gesso to the surface and meticulously rolled it to create this luxurious cracked texture.
Resembling the scales of a reptile, the finished product reflects the light differently from every angle. Giving it a unique appearance whichever angle it’s viewed from.
